Q-02:- What is the maximum weight allowed for a single first or second class
stamped envelope?
Answer-02:-
Weight no more than 60gms first or second class.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q-03:- When a comp says N/A on plain piece of paper. Does this mean a plain
piece of paper in an envelope or can I use a plain stuck down envelope/plain
PC with my details on?
Answer-03:-
From Jane -
If it says plain paper I would always use a
sheet of paper in an envelope. It probably
means they won't bother to open the envelopes
until after the draw is made so if you are a
fan of homemade or decorated postcards it
might be worth decorating the envelope or
buying a pack of the striped fluorescent ones
from Sainsbury's - they seem to work wonders
in local paper comps for me!

Q-04:- Can I enter free prize draws more than once when it does not say "one
entry per household".
Answer-04:-
From Phil -
As far as I am concerned, when it doesn't state
one per household, or one per person, I tend to
send as many entries as I am able to....if I
want the prize .
I have won from many National
Mags with multiple
entries ...eg. Woman, Woman's Own, Woman's Realm,
Chat, Family Circle, etc.
I regard draws as something
like a Raffle, in
that the more entries I make (or tickets I buy)
the better my chance of winning.....Seems to
work for me:-)

Q-05:- Just wondering.......can anyone tell me the average time in their
opinion, it takes for a post card with a second class stamp to reach it's destination
if posted on a Monday morning within the UK?
Answer-05:-
From Cascade -
Suspect Wednesday or Thursday, depends how much
first class post about, as it takes priority.
It makes no difference whether it is a postcard
or a letter, as long as it has correct postage
and a legible postcode.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q-06:- From Vicky - can anyone tell me the maximum weight allowed for am
envelope for a single first class stamp?
Answer-06:-
From Anita - I know because i asked the very
same this week weight no more than 60gms first
or second class/at least 6-8 postcards.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q-07:- From Donna - When it says pc do they accept stuck down envelopes with
the details on the back?
Answer-07:-
From Nita - My X-handling house friend was
quite pedantic in her job.
A Pc was NOT a stuck down envelope unless it
said. Like write your n & a - ie she rejected
rubber stamps & labels etc. If there are rules
I always try and follow.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q-08:- From Viv - Does anybody know how much the various numbers cost per
minute, i.e those that start 0870 etc . I think somebody has listed phone charges
before, but I'v lost my list.
Answer-08:-
From Lez - At the end of this document -
http://www.shop-athome.bt.com/home/pricing/uk.htm#How
there are pages and pages of specialised numbers
- each with their own charges!
(Didn't know there were so many!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q-09:- From Geekay - I've seen some of you mentioning searching for old posts
on Google. How do you do it? Every time I try "Find" on OE it finds
the headings, then tells me the message is no longer available on the server!
Answer-09:-
From Keely - You can find old usenet posts via the
Google website using your browser, Glyn
Google archives old messages even after they
have long gone from your news server.
